So as I understand monsters in Silent Hill they are suppose to be something from the main character's past in some way. This is the 'Horror of Apathy'. The basic idea being that the main character at some point witnessed something they could have stopped or at least tried to stop, but the character just stood and watched.
This thing being the souls of other similar people, covered in grasping & pawing hands that dont allow them to act, just watch as they do terrible things with their bodies (eg attack the character, torture others and so on).
I dont remember which hand idea was the first, I'm going to say it was the two on the ears and mouth, but it was probably the crotch hand…

I know that this chousen was my particular idea but thanks a lot! When I saw my RSS had showed me posts were up, I pulled it up and when I saw your image loading up I was filled with a sense of confusion and dread that I had not experienced since Tubgirl. I didn't know what I was seeing for a second trying to process it all.
Screw you for bringing that memory of disorientation back. lol I think you did a nice job on that. If I'd seen something like that approaching, I'd definitely be backing up from that.
That crotch hand is.....creepy. I very much like this apathy concept.
