Chousen #2- Kash

Done with Manga Studio Debut 3.0 and imported into Corel Painter Essentials 3.

It felt good using MSD again. That's what I do my manga with. Sadly the PC version doesn't do color. Only the Mac version supports color. Forget you, Apple! :P

Also, that manga program sounds like a pain in the asshole.

Heh...I'm with Dan on the double fisted F.U.

That's dumb, I wonder why the PC version doesn't do color. I heart my Mac.

I actually do like the program, Dan's seen the pages I did with it. Debut ($50) is basically the crack seller's tactic. It's not the $300 dollar version.

After looking for videos about the program, it seems that the neither PC or Mac can actually print in color. However you can draw in color on different layers (I guess kinda like masking in PS), but it still prints out b&w. It also allows the files to be exported in BMP, JPEG, and PSD. So you can just dump it over to PS and color it there. I don't have PS, so I have no way to confirm anything beyond that point.

Don't get me wrong about MSD. I really like it. I like b&w, which it is intended to do. We are talking about manga after all. For layout and printing I totally dig it. I'm still trying to streamline my process though. I can do 2 fully detailed and toned out pages start to finish in a day.

Like with any program there is a learning on MSD, but once you start memorizing where everything, it does become WAY more wieldy.

Anyway, I'm glad you guys liked my contribution!
